The competition brings together qualified and apprentice technicians who compete in a series of practical electrical, mechanical and bodywork challenges designed to test their knowledge, technical ability and problem-solving skills.

For the PSV sector, competitors take on the challenge at S&B Automotive Academy in Bristol, competing to earn recognition as some of the best bus and coach engineers in the country.

The IRTE Skills Challenge plays an important role in promoting engineering careers and encouraging skills development throughout the transport industry. By bringing together operators, apprentices, experienced technicians and industry leaders, the event helps raise standards and inspire future talent.
