With 40 years of experience in the bus industry, Simon joins Pelican as Head of Engineering, bringing a wealth of technical expertise and senior leadership experience. Starting his career as an apprentice, he progressed through the industry to become Engineering Director at First West and North Yorkshire and, most recently, Engineering Director at Go North East. He is widely recognised for excellence in engineering leadership, having been named UK Bus Awards Engineer of the Year in 2013 and Route One Engineer of the Year in 2022. A people-focused leader, Simon is committed to teamwork, delivering results and building on Pelican’s outstanding reputation for customer service.

Julie joined Pelican Bus + Coach in 2023 as Customer Projects Manager, bringing many years of experience in the bus and coach industry. Working closely with operators, she supported vehicle orders and project delivery before being promoted to Business Sales Support Manager. In her current role, Julie will further drive and enhance the department as the business continues to grow across vehicle sales. She is well regarded for her professional, organised and customer-focused approach.

Amelia represents the fourth generation of the family business, bringing a comprehensive understanding of Pelican and our customer’s needs. With experience across various departments, she possesses a holistic view of our operations. Holding a PSV driving licence, Amelia enjoys personally delivering vehicles to our valued customers. In her role as Area Sales Manager, Amelia continues to uphold the Pelican tradition of exceptional service.

Steve is an industry stalwart with over 30 years of experience in the coach and bus sector. He is has a unique understanding of the needs of coach operators having worked extensively in both the operator and manufacturer sides of the industry.

With over 25 years of sales experience in the coach industry, Lee really understands the needs of UK coach operators and which vehicles will best serve their particular requirements. Lee looks after our customers in South and Mid Wales, Central England and East Anglia.

Dale brings with him a wealth of experience in the coach sector. He spent 14 years at Scania, supplying vehicles in Scotland for coach and bus. Over the past four years, he has been retrofitting vehicles from Euro 5 to Euro 6 for coach operators. Dale recognised the Area Sales Manager for Scotland position as an opportunity to leverage his past experience and skills in sales; seeing it as a natural progression in his career journey
