Stagecoach Welcome New Yutong Fleet as Part of Surrey Greener Futures Programme

Head of Yutong Sales, Ian Downie was delighted to attend and celebrate Stagecoach’s public launch of their latest order of U11DD vehicles.

The event also brought together colleagues and partners from Stagecoach South, Surrey County Council, Rushmoor Borough Council, local community organisations such as RAAG (Reaching Accessibility Awareness Group), and delivery partners including VEV.

Stakeholders had the opportunity to view the buses up close and hear more about the collaborative work underpinning the transition to zero-emission transport across the network.

The milestone celebrates the arrival of 22 new electric double-decker buses, delivered through an £11.6 million joint investment between Stagecoach South and Surrey County Council as part of the Surrey Greener Futures programme. The fleet represents a significant step forward in our shared ambition to deliver cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable public transport across the region.
