Kinchbus Unveil New Yutong Fleet

We were pleased to attend the unveiling of Kinchbus Loughborough’s new fleet last week, and it couldn’t have been better weather for the occasion.

One of their new Yutong E9L electric buses was on display, with more set to enter service very soon.

In attendance was Ian Downie, Head of Yutong Sales and Julie Smith, Pelican’s Business Support Manager, representing Pelican Bus + Coach.

The day included a panel discussion, in which Ian was proud to partake in the conversations surrounding the latest vehicle in KinchBus’ fleet.

The event highlighted an important step forward in inclusive vehicle design, with state-of-the-art buses built to industry-leading neuro-inclusive standards – an important area that’s often overlooked in the transport industry.

The latest fleet supports neuro-diverse passengers through features such as the use of a toned down colour pallet seen on the new bell pushes, mood lighting to create a calm and inviting environment, and neutral seats and flooring to compliment this.

This project is also a great example of industry collaboration, with partners including Altro Limited and Camira working alongside us at Pelican to bring this fleet to life, supporting local communities while driving towards a greener, more sustainable future.
